Graphite & Steel Head Gasket
Cylinder head gaskets form the most critical seal on an engine - between the cylinder head and the engine block deck.:
The head gasket must seal combustion pressures up to 1,000 psi (689.5 kPa) in gasoline engines and 2,700 psi (1,862 kPa) in turbocharged diesel engines. In addition, the head gasket must withstand combustion temperatures that are in excess of 2,000¡ãF (1,100¡ãC).
TEMCO provides asbestos, non-asbestos, steel, graphite & various material head gasket individually or in sets. Full sets include engine oil seals and valve stem seals. All gaskets are manufactured to meet or fit OEM specifications and features.
*Recommended for high-boost applications for superior sealing & strength
*Multi layer stainless construction for durability & corrosion resistances
*Graphite coated & embossed surfaces for maximum sealing between head and cylinder block
*Unique design promotes even torque load across sealing surface & requires no re-torque.
*Reduced "dead air space" between the cylinder head and block in the combustion chamber, helping to reduce emissions
*More efficient clamp load distribution
*Reduced creep relaxation to minimize bolt load loss and improves sealing performanceg
*Tighter control of compressed thickness
*Increased resistance to high temperatures and aggressive oils and coolants
